A grieving therapist begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives, including his own. The cast of “Shrinking” share their best character-defining moments in season one and reveal who has the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they convinced Harrison Ford to be on the show, Segel said Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and would audition people who looked like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein they should have at least introduced him to Ford first, thinking he would have turned it down immediately, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was brought in, which would have piqued the interest of other big-name actors. Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and convinced him to take the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was still elated..
Harrison Ford plays Dr
Two episodes in and this show shows a lot of promise, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and even weirdly so at times… it’s touching in ways that most shows aren’t, only reminiscent of the show Community for these elements. I’m not sure this accurately shows a therapist’s way of dealing with issues, but it certainly leaves room for Jason Segel to put his own spin on it.
Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor
I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this series, but Rhodes’ antisocial resemblance certainly plays into a personality that Ford comes across quite well when thinking about the more apprehensive elements of his character Han Solo in Star Wars, he fits like a glove in this series. Somewhat too relatable, Sean (Luke Tennie) plays a sort of son figure to Jimmy (Segel) as he deals with his family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)… What I see here seems so vivid and the possibilities maybe(?) endless as I watch Jimmy navigate these things. By the way, the intro theme to this series is so good, I didn’t even skip it when I watched the second episode… And the music in this series is so beautiful.

Overall this is turning out to be a wonderful series and I hope it continues to get better from here. The final season of “What We Do in the Shadows” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
