a dilemma he could use to sway the jury’s verdict and possibly convict or acquit the wrong killer

Family man Justin Kemp, who faces a serious moral dilemma as a juror in a high-profile murder trial… Kiefer Sutherland got his role by writing to Clint Eastwood about what a huge fan he was and that he wanted to be in one of his films before he retired.
To call this effective would be a severe understatement, there is no easy way out here
Not releasing Juror #2 in theaters is another crime we can add to Warner Bros.’ prestigious repertoire, because even at 94, Clint Eastwood still has it. A nerve-racking and thoroughly gripping examination of Eastwood’s career-long fascination with guilt, justice and the limits of American law, it turns the courtroom drama on its head with a fantastic script by Jonathan Abrams.
The tension is simply unbearable at times
Eastwood’s taut and wonderful direction is in abundance here, all backed up by a very captivating score by Mark Mancina, but it’s really the acting that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the film’s runtime. Nicholas Hoult never overdoes the anguish simmering beneath the surface, expressing his inner panic to the viewer but not to those around him.
Toni Collette and JK
Simmons also deliver fantastic performances, though I’m honestly a little disheartened that Kiefer Sutherland’s role was so limited. If Juror #2, like the gunslingers of his past, is to be Eastwood’s final film (as horrifying as that thought is), then the man has departed from life in a triumphant blaze of glory.
