Abrams’ “Lost” almost had a completely different cast

The character of Sawyer was originally supposed to be an older, dapper, suited-up city hustler from Buffalo, NY.

But when Josh Holloway forgot a line during an audition and later kicked a chair and swore loudly in frustration, the writers liked the edge it gave Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as a more Southern, darker drifter. Jin and Sun are married and share the last name Kwon, which becomes a major plot point in the final season. However, when the Koreans get married, the wife never takes her husband’s last name. In fact, in Korea, it is not even allowed to marry with the same last name, except in rare circumstances.

The weird opening credits are by J.J. Abrams carrying a black and white laptop in homage to The Twilight Zone. I have watched a lot of television in my life, maybe too much. But this is the best TV show I have seen in years.

You just can’t predict what is going to happen. It seems like every week the show tells something new about the island and its inhabitants. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what is going to happen, and then before I know it, the show is over and I have to wait to find out what happens next. Absolutely fascinating!
This show is amazing and I hope they keep it going because so many times great shows in the US get canceled because the ratings start to drop a little or the executives think the shows are too weird
I really hope the series continues so we can have it here in England as it is a fantastic show and I would love to have a DVD of this series so I can catch up with all my friends too.
