PLA (acido poli-lattico ) è un materiale termoplastico derivato da risorse biologiche. Il grande vantaggio di questo filamento è il basso fattore di warping,imbarcamento, oltre al fatto che non subisce deformazioni durante la fase di raffreddamento.Grazie a queste caratteristiche può essere utilizzato anche senza piatto riscaldato,nel caso in cui venga utilizzato il piatto invece, si consiglia di settare la temperatura tra i ± 35° e i 60°C.
