The only place unavailable was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador
Line of Events
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, is thrust into a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic consequences for her marriage and her political future. The British government to allow them to use real-world settings as filming locations for the series, including the still recent US Embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honor for any film or film production, especially for American. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.

The characters are phenomenally written and they are all somewhat of a mystery. Their dialogue is quick and engaging, and the plot constantly moves in chaotic political directions. It doesn’t have a strong tone like other similar shows. I want to compare it to House of Cards a bit, but that doesn’t fit the bill.
It felt similar to Night Agent, but much better
It has an air of sequence, but again it’s not right. I see reviews complaining about the lead and her disheveled appearance and harsh demeanor, but that’s her hole! "You want people in power who *don’t* want to be in power". Kate is focused on the mission and the cause at hand, where people’s lives hang in the balance.
She is good at her job, so no one thinks about her decency
What he’s wearing, how he looks, and even when he’s sleeping are all secondary to the main mission. I thought her style fit the narrative perfectly and was a refreshing change of pace. The best part of the show is the relationships everyone has with each other. It’s rare that I like all the characters in a show, but this one did it for me.
We really hope to see s2
